In my honest opinion, I think the Steadistand is one
of the best out there.
We have their stands on all of our PTs here at Triangle
Segway in Raleigh. Both on our tour fleet and with every
Segway we sell! They simply work and are very thoughtfully
designed.
First of all, they are designed longer than most other
stands which keeps the Segway leaned back just enough
to prevent it from snapping into balance mode if someone
starts stepping on the PT. This alone is worth the price
of the stand!
Second, the Steadistand comes complete with a threaded
bit so you can take the original one off the stock stand.
This is a huge benefit because it lets you get at the
3mm bolt that adjusts the play in the motion of the stand.
If your stand starts to feel loose, you simply unscrew
the Steadistand, grab your 3mm wrench, give it a quarter
turn and everything tightens back up! Excellent.
Third, unlike other similar designs out there, the Steadistand
comes with a wide base that contacts the ground in place
of the silly little pliable rubber piece from the original
Segway stand.
Finally, the Steadistand is beautifully finished. It is
professionally powder-coated to be durable and looks stock
and is easy to install.
I am in no way associated with the Steadistand company
but I have to say I am very impressed with their product.
You simply cannot beat the price and quality of the product.
